Thrive Project

A Women’s Wellbeing Group
2025-2026

The Thrive Project is a collaborative project between Elmbridge Borough Council, INYBB, Forthouse Surgery, Elmbridge Museum and Surrey Heartlands which culminated in a co-created legacy artwork. The artwork tells the collective story of women who came together through Thrive Together to reflect on their wellbeing, their strengths, and their hopes for change. Each handmade sewn element represents a personal journey – moments of challenge, growth, and renewed possibility – woven into a shared vision designed by the group with the women’s ideas and voices at it’s heart. First on display at Riverhouse Barn Arts Centre, before becoming a permanent feature in Forthouse Surgery, this piece invites others to see themselves in the story and be inspired to take small, meaningful steps towards their own wellbeing.

Thank you also to the Charity of Robert Phillips for their support with Thrive Project.

“I have found it difficult to open up and connect with others throughout my life. I have always had to keep up a tough exterior. But this group has been different, I have been able to let my guard down and be myself. It has been truly life changing.”

“I’ve learnt it’s okay to let things be. I’ve always felt like I’m never good enough, that I’m always chasing something. I’m okay as I am. I more accepting of myself and more balanced.”
